What is Blended Learning? (Australia & New Zealand)
Our online modules effectively support your in-house delivery of training, reducing the need for face-to-face time on your course.
Blended Learning consists of online self-guided training modules and face-to-face training. This is available to use on Level One and Level Two courses.
Blended Learning consists of online self-guided training modules and face-to-face training. This is available to use on Level One and Level Two courses.
The online self-guided modules are accessed independently by your course participants, to complete at a time that suits them. This blended approach to training reduces the amount of face-to-face time required on your course.
Please note that the online self-guided modules are not stand-alone training and must be used in conjunction with face-to-face training.
E.g.
- Level One: 3 hours of self-guided online learning and 3 hours of face-to-face training.
- Level Two: 3 hours of self-guided online learning and 6-9 hours of face-to-face training, depending on modules taught.
Can I access the online learning?
It is essential that you, as a trainer, complete the online self-guided training yourself to ensure you are familiar with the course content and can link the learning to your face-to-face training sessions.
As a trainer, you can access the self-guided modules free of charge. Please contact us for more information:

How do my participants use the Blended Learning modules?
This training is organised into modules. Participants can complete the training at a time that suits them, either in a longer session or over a series of shorter sessions. The self-guided training modules should be fully completed before the face-to-face training.
The self-guided training includes a range of tasks to complete. Participants can download and complete these tasks on screen or print them out. It is helpful if they bring the completed tasks to their face-to-face training session(s).
When should participants complete the Blended Learning modules?
We recommend that face-to-face training happens within four weeks of completing the self-guided modules. If the time interval is likely to exceed this, we recommend that participants spend time reviewing their training notes and completed activities prior to the face-to-face session.
Participants will have access to the self-guided modules for a period of 12 months from when the register to the course. They can go back to the learning at any time within the 12-month period to refresh their learning.
How do I use Blended Learning to support the face-to-face training?
Face-to-face training should link the learning from the self-guided modules with the new content. This is also an opportunity to explore key concepts in more detail and ensure participants have the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to provide effective behaviour support.
Do I still need to provide a workbook to participants?
Yes, every participant should have their own copy of the Team Teach workbook for their face-to-face training, including refresher courses.
